Facial Care Wipe with Glycine Amino Acid Complex by Rockline Industries

Rockline has developed a facial wipe product that contains a unique multifunctional complex of two glycine, a phospholipid compound, and a blend of glycols. This formulation not only provides a self-preserving system for cellulosic nonwovens but also offers numerous skincare benefits. It is believed to be the first wet wipe formulation to incorporate glycine, and it delivers improved skin smoothness, elasticity, hydration, and an anti-aging effect. The finalists for the World of Wipes Innovation Award were selected by INDA's Technical Advisory Board based on their creativity, uniqueness, and technical sophistication in expanding the utilization of nonwovens.

The award considered various categories such as raw materials, roll goods, converting, packaging, active ingredients, binders, additives, and end-use products related to wipes. The winner of the 2023 World of Wipes Innovation Award was Indorama Ventures and Polymetric for their Nonwoven Wipe Using Biotransformation Technology. This innovative spun lace wipe utilizes advanced biotransformation technology jointly developed by Indorama Ventures and Polymetric. It meets the BSI PAS 9017 specification and, in the event, it becomes fugitive and exposed to heat, sunlight, air, and moisture, it transforms into a harmless, bioavailable wax at the end of its life cycle, thereby eliminating microplastic pollution. This wipe is compatible with mechanical recycling and addresses the issue of 'fugitive' waste, making it a significant step towards eco-friendly and sustainable nonwoven hygiene products.
