Rieter has announced a wide-ranging restructuring effort set to begin on January 1, 2026, positioning the Group for a major leap forward as it prepares for the planned acquisition of OC Oerlikon Barmag Division. The move reflects a strategic shift aimed at creating a more agile, technology-driven and customer-focused organization capable of meeting rapidly evolving textile market demands.

Under the new structure, Machines and Systems will merge with After Sales to form a unified Short-Staple Fiber Division. This division, led by Alexander Ozbahadir, will guide global short-staple fiber operations and build stronger synergies in sales and service. The combined setup aims to enhance customer reach through a sharper geographical focus and more integrated support functions.

At the same time, a renewed Components and Technology Division will rise under the leadership of Roger Albrecht. His mandate centers on advancing high-performance technologies, intensifying innovation and driving growth across key component brands such as Accotex, Bräcker, Graf, Novibra, Suessen, SSM and Temco. The new configuration is designed to elevate Rieter presence as a global technology leader in spinning machinery and precision components.

The pending integration of the Man-Made Fiber Division, to be led by Georg Stausberg upon closing, marks a transformative moment for the Group. Once finalized, the acquisition will establish Rieter as the leading system provider across natural and man-made Fiber segments worldwide. Stausberg will also join the Group Executive Committee, further strengthening cross-division coordination.

Rieter is simultaneously navigating ongoing market weakness through decisive cost measures, including supply chain simplification, capacity adjustments and leaner overhead structures. While one-off expenses of up to CHF 35 million are anticipated, the company expects nearly CHF 30 million in annual savings.

With its refreshed Executive Board and streamlined structure, Rieter aims to sharpen its global competitiveness and unlock new potential across a rapidly changing textile landscape.
