A new era of textile excellence is unfolding in Rajasthan as the state cabinet approves a visionary Textile and Apparel Policy aimed at transforming the region into a global manufacturing powerhouse. With an expected investment of nearly 40,000 crore, this ambitious initiative seeks to strengthen local textile industries, enhance global competitiveness, and promote sustainable production practices.
The policy is designed to attract large-scale investments, boost employment, and provide cutting-edge infrastructure to textile manufacturers. Rajasthan, already known for its rich textile heritage, is now set to expand its footprint in modern apparel and fabric production, ensuring long-term industrial growth.
State Parliamentary Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel emphasized the significance of this initiative, highlighting its role in fulfilling commitments made during the ‘Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit.’ He reiterated that the textile sector, a cornerstone of the state's economy, will receive a significant boost through government-backed incentives and investor-friendly policies.
Alongside the textile initiative, the government has also approved a Logistics Policy that will streamline supply chains and improve connectivity. To support industrial expansion, up to 10 percent of allocatable land in new RIICO industrial areas will be reserved exclusively for logistics facilities, ensuring smooth transportation and distribution of textile goods.
With these progressive measures, Rajasthan is poised to become a leading hub for textile innovation, offering a dynamic business environment for manufacturers, exporters, and investors. As the state moves toward a future driven by industrial excellence, its textile sector stands at the forefront of a remarkable transformation.
